Another Day For Giving Thanks

While 2009 has been a trying year for me personally, it has also brought a chock full of reasons to be thankful on this day of uber gratis.

On a DMP note, I’d like to thank all of the participants at shows this past year — the musicians, photographers, filmmakers, our amazing audiences and The Green Burro (RIP) staff. Without your interest and passion, we would never have been able to make it through another year.

Similarly, we’ve been lucky enough to hook up with a host of talented folks who’ve helped us on a number of levels — Mr. Rozzi for becoming our defacto show MC; Josh Neas, Ryan Sweeney, Lisa Dames and Chris Roulhac for spreading the word over the radio; Prez and Cesar at Studio 4 for adding their flavor to our live album production process; Katie Southard for hosting our photo exhibit at The Green Bean; Don Ravon & Dan Bayer for being both tireless, dedicated sound engineers & partners in crime.

A huge thanks to all of you.

On a personal note, I’d like to thank my mother, father and brother for their unconditional love and being in my corner at the toughest of times. You provide a safe haven for weathering the toughest of storms. Without your steely moral support, I’d undoubtedly be on the street eating dirt. If I can provide one tenth the support in return, I’d feel satisfied.

I’m also thankful for my friends — both near and far, new and old — who bring perspective, joy and inspiration to my life. Thank you for making me who I am.

And lastly, to Lisa Flores, my therapist and good friend, who has provided me guidance from my darkest of days to a place of self-awareness, stability and a desire for a healthy mind, body and spirit. I can’t thank you enough.

Time for turkey and an afternoon nap.

And a big thanks to you as well, Sean! Without you, this wouldn’t be possible.
