Let’s all pour out a little for Carolina Clearwater.
As bands do all the time, Sam, Andrew and Mat decided to go separate ways. And as part of that move, they’ve asked for their DMP recordings to come down from the internets.
To be frank, as someone who’s running a project to document the sounds of the local music scene, this request straight up blows. It’s like losing a piece from a complete collection — it’s irreplaceable. But as someone who created this project in an attempt to support the growth of local musicians, I can’t complain.
Bands break up and players play again, somehow, somewhere.
Sam is currently recording with Oteil and Kofi Burbridge, Mat is now the Mat Elliott Experience and Andrew is gigging with a whole new crew.
