I met KRS-One a long time ago, talked with him for a good 40 minutes about the state of hip hop. This was around 1997 or so. Kris, as he asked me to call him, was unexpectedly nice and generous with his time and with sharing his intellect. I mostly listened. He truly is a teacher. He even gave me his office number, I lost it the same day on the way home! What’s he up to these days, do you know?

wow, that’s a cool story. krs-one is practically on idol level for me. if i had the pleasure, i’d have so much to say, yet would probably just bask in the knowledge coming back my way.

he just started I Am Hip-Hop Publishing and recently dropped Maximum Strength. keeping true to edutainment, as always.
